According to GNN News, Prime Minister Imran Khan got angry with Dr.Noman over Shoaib Akhtar’s insult. Prime Minister Imran Khan has sought a report from the Ministry of Information on the matter. PM Imran Khan said that the humiliation meted out to the national hero is unbearable.
He directed the Ministry of Information to take stern action against those responsible. Meanwhile, on the issue of bitter rhetoric between Noman Niaz and Shoaib Akhtar on (GATV) , Dr. Noman Niaz has been stopped from airing after recommending immediate off-air.
According to sources, an important meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of MD PTV in which the incident involving Shoaib Akhtar was reviewed. The on-air recording of the program was also reviewed in the meeting.
Calls on committee
The probe committee decided to summon former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar on the matter while Noman Niaz was immediately off-air and barred from programming till the investigation is completed. It should be noted that in the live show of the T20 World Cup on (GATV) , there was a quarrel between Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and the host Dr. Noman Niaz after which Shoaib Akhtar got up and left.
Shoaib Akhtar and Dr. Noman Niaz had exchanged harsh words. The show’s host took a break at the time. Shoaib Akhtar was back in the show after the break and both called the incident a joke. But Shoaib Akhtar later resigned during the live show and left.
The reaction of Shoaib Akhtar’s fans
Social media users and the fans of The hero have expressed surprise and dislike over the obnoxious video clip of Shoaib Akhtar and Noman Niaz. The Social media fans while expressing anguish said that such behavior is inappropriate with legend players or any guest in a live show. In the meanwhile, after the clip went viral on social media, Shoaib Akhtar also reacted to the incident of the live show. “I was asked to go to the live show,” he tweeted.
Additionally, he said “I do not understand why Dr. Noman Niaz did so? He further added that such an insult to a star on a live TV show is not appropriate. Foreign and national stars will think negatively about it. All though, I tried to handle the matter but Dr. Noman Niaz did not apologize to me and no one else. So there was no choice” so I resigned” On the other hand, the management of (GATV) took notice of the incident and formed an inquiry committee to investigate.
The inquiry committee will also summon Dr. Noman Niaz and Shoaib Akhtar in which the views of both will be heard.
On the other hand, the chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Information, Senator Faisal Javed, also expressed anger over the incident and said that PTV! You are completely derailed, restore your reputation, it’s not about an individual, it’s about an organization.
