The European Union and Britain will not Recognize the Taliban Government

Both European Union and Britain denied to recognize Taliban Government

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Robb uttered Britain will not “recognize” the Taliban government in any way, while the European Union has said it will contact people to evacuate without recognizing the Taliban. On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he hopes the Taliban will behave “civilized” in Afghanistan. So that the international community can establish diplomatic relations with Kabul.

Russian Government shows bilateral relation with Afghanistan

According to the French news agency AFP, the Russian president said on Friday that “Russia is not interested in a fragmented Afghanistan. If that happened then no one would be willing to talk. Vladimir Putin was addressing the Eastern Economic Forum in the eastern Russian city of Vladivostok.

Additionally, he said the sooner the Taliban step into the civilized world. It will be easier to communicate with them, and influence them to some extent, and raise questions. He further added the US withdrawal from Afghanistan was “catastrophic” They spent around1.5 billion on the campaign. But what was the outcome? Absolutely fruitless!

Sustaining its embassy in Afghanistan

Russia has been careful in its relations with the Taliban. Several days after the Taliban took control of Kabul, Russia’s ambassador to Kabul met with Taliban representatives and said Russia would maintain its embassy in Afghanistan.
Russia began evacuating its citizens and former Soviet citizens after the situation in Afghanistan deteriorated.

Extremist may take advantage

Russia has warned that extremists could take advantage of the situation and enter neighboring countries as refugees. Afghanistan shares borders with three former Soviet Union countries, and Russia has bases there. However, Unlike Russia, The European Union and Britain decline to recognize the Taliban Government.
