The Georgia youngster, who was allegedly tortured during a spring break hazing incident and was left battling for his life on a ventilator, has spoken out for the first time, vowing that “justice will be delivered.”
Trent Lehrkamp, 19, allegedly consumed hallucinogenic mushrooms and a dangerous amount of alcohol under duress at a spring break house party, which led to his hospitalization.
After attending the noisy celebration on March 21 in the affluent community of Saint Simons Island, the adolescent was dumped at an emergency room covered in other people’s pee. The teen had also been spray painted from head to toe in the horrible ordeal.
“Just know it’s going to be a long time for me to get over this, through the trauma, but one day hopefully within the next few months or so, I might be back.”
Mark Lehrkamp, the boy’s father, told authorities that although his son has endured recurrent hazing and bullying from the same group of boys, he continues to hang out with them “because he has no other friends.”
Members of the community expressed outrage and indignation after seeing videos and images of the alleged hazing being extensively posted on social media.
Protest of community
People gathered in huge numbers and had a protest against this incident and also shown their solidarity with a very soft spoken person where they had candles and demanded from the authorities concerned for very quick justice.
The security agencies also is looking at this brutal case which ended up having a young boy in ICU as an assault,
O neal jackson officer of the Glyn county police department said to the news Agencies that all the people involved in this incident are identified through photos and social media and soon they will be behind the bars as there is no space for such type of bullying and this respectful justice and actions toward others…
