    Dr. Farid was appointed as the Executive Chairman of EGX since August 2017 as per the Prime Ministerial Decree No.1759/2017. Prior to his appointment Mr. Farid served as the Chairman and CEO of Dcode EFC, a leading economic forecasting and advisory firm in Egypt. ), he is currently The Chairman of the Working Committees of The Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) , The Chairman of The Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE) & Chairman of The Emerging Market Working Group (EMWG), The World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).

Nameer has spearheaded key Fintech initiatives with regional regulators and global monetary authorities for the development of regulatory regimes of various Fintech verticals and establishing a strongly knitted conducive Fintech ecosystem plus helping banks and insurance companies to transform into future forward organizations. He represents the next generation millennial leadership globally and is recognised as a Fintech strategist with specialization in innovation. Among others he is a key player in developing an optimal fintech ecosystem in MENA.

    With 10+ years of experience in the entrepreneurial environment, Ahmed has been partnering with leading corporations and investors to help them co-create, accelerate, and scale new ventures and business models with entrepreneurs and startups. Currently, Ahmed is the Regional Business Developer for MENA at Rainmaking Innovation. Ahmed has previously worked as well with leading accelerators like Startupbootcamp and Flat6Labs; In 2019, Ahmed has led the Startupbootcamp FinTech Cairo accelerator program in partnership with ALEXBANK, EBE, and Visa. Back in 2016, he also managed the 1864 Barclays FinTech program with Flat6Labs - through which both he was able to accelerate 19 FinTechs and train 50 teams. In total, Ahmed has advised over 350 startup founders, accelerated the growth of 35 startups, trained 100+ startups, designed and managed 5 accelerator programs.

    With a knack for problem-solving and passion for digital transformations, Aiman is a driven business leader who has established the HQ brand in the innovation industry. Aiman has enabled business growth, as well as, led successful private and government projects through integrating technology, improving digital presence and infrastructure, and planning and implementing data-driven solutions. I run a startup incubator (Hatch Quarter) and am a founding partner at a digital creative agency (Mo Works), both of which are based in Melbourne, Australia. I’m also a member of the Victorian Committee of the Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce (AACCI) and a member of the Rampersand Venture Capital Inclusion Advisory Board.
  • Mahmoud  El-Zohairy

    Mahmoud El-Zohairy - Chief Executive Officer

    Mahmoud El-Zohairy is the CEO of EFG-EV Fintech, Egypt’s first Fintech focused accelerator and investment fund in Egypt. Since its inception, in January 2018, he grew the portfolio to 15 investments. Prior to joining EFG-EV Fintech, Mahmoud worked as a Senior Economist at the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation’s office, where he worked on many verticals of Egypt’s Economic Reform program, establishing Egypt Entrepreneurship Platform (Fekretak Sherketak), setting up Egypt Ventures (a Government backed VC fund), Falak Startups, as well as providing technical assistance and guidance to numerous successful Startups in Egypt, amongst other things. Prior to that, he was Project Officer at Finbi, a finance and banking consulting firm where he was responsible for analyzing financial performance of MFIs, providing technical assistance to the Credit Guarantee Company (CGC), formulating strategies for change management. Mahmoud holds a BSc in Economics and International Business from the German University in Cairo, and an MBA from Herriot Watt University, passed his CFA level I examination and graduated the Oxford University Fintech Program.
  • Omar Alamoodi

    Omar is a Master Principal Sales Consultant @Oracle Saudi Technology Team, working as Technology & Strategy advisor for top tier accounts in Saudi Arabia Such as: Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Finance .. and many other public sector institutions. Omar specializes in building business technology strategies using enterprise architecture concepts to build strategic and tactical digital transformation roadmaps for his clients. He created a methodology for digital transformation using Oracle cloud technologies called “Digital transformation tools” which was perceived as a good starting toolkit to think about digital transformation. In addition, Omar is helping clients rethink their customer experience using service design thinking as a very effective methodology to build seamless digital experience for public sector services. Omar has more than 14 years of experience in information technology. He previously worked as chief architect in previous public sector organizations. Omar graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) with first honor distinction in Software Engineering.
