    Nadine Chehade - Senior Financial Sector Specialist

    Nadine Chehade is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist, representing CGAP in the Arab world. She works to deepen CGAP’s engagement in the region, collaborating with various partners, including regulators and policy-makers, donors and investors, regional associations, and businesses. She currently focuses on fintechs and digitial financial services, in addition to leading CGAP’s global work on financial services in humanitarian crises. More broadly, she covers matters related to regulation, business, and markets, with the overarching goal of advancing financial inclusion. Her research work has included regulatory frameworks, cash transfers, digital financial services, postal financial inclusion, microfinance, and financial inclusion measurement. She joined CGAP in 2012, bringing ten years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, and microfinance rating. Nadine holds an MBA from ESSEC in France.   • Lama Daher

    Lama Daher - Financial Inclusion Project Lead

    Lâma Daher has been the Financial Inclusion Project Lead at Banque Du Liban Foreign Affairs Dpt. since January 2016. She plays a key role in designing the financial inclusion strategy of the central bank and coordinating financial inclusion related activities with local and international players. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Finance at Lebanese universities and previously in France, where she was an Associate Researcher at Sorbonne School of Management. Her primary research interest focuses on financial inclusion, namely on the dimensions of microfinance, impact investing and fintech. She started her career in France with Société Générale Corporate & Investment Bank as an Assistant Risk Manager in structured finance. Lâma holds a PhD in Finance from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, a MSc in Corporate Finance from Toulouse School of Management, an Executive Education Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School (“Rethinking Financial Inclusion: Innovation for Policy & Practice” prgm), and is currently a scholar at the University of Cambridge (“Fintech & Regulatory Innovation” prgm). She is a Fulbright alumnus (“Economic Development & Entrepreneurship” prgm) and was awarded a certificate of excellence from the IMF Institute for Capacity Development (“Financial Development & Financial Inclusion” prgm).

    Ms. Hakima EL ALAMI has been with bank Al-Maghrib since 1997. She is the current Director of Payment Systems and Instruments Oversight and Financial Inclusion Department responsible for conducting national strategies related to payment systems and financial inclusion. She joined Bank Al-Maghrib as an executive in charge of financial analyses and corporates ratings, and also assessment of the quality of the private debt instruments within the context of central bank advances. Since 2003, she was appointed as a Manager in the Monetary and Exchange Operations Department where she spent 13 years in charge of cashless means of payment and payment systems oversight. Hakima EL ALAMI holds a higher studies diploma (DES) from Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, and a Diploma of Advanced Studies –DEA- in economic organizations engineering , Complex systems modeling, from the University of AIX-Marseille III. She is also Alumni of Fletcher School Leadership Program for Financial Inclusion (FLPFI). TUFTS University Boston.

He also structured and executed several award-winning deals, in project finance and M&A within Egypt and GCC, in addition to several investment banking transactions. He has also been the Head of structured finance and syndication in Banque Misr where he successfully managed to top the league table of the MENA region in syndicated loans. Walid is a Cairo-University B.B.A holder, where he graduated with highest honors. He also holds an MBA from J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University as well as Islamic Finance Qualification from CISI- UK.

As being the Financial Inclusion Division Chief, Mr. Salous is responsible for leading the implementation the NFIS and its action plan including leading the measurements of the Financial Inclusion indicators and Monitoring and Evaluation. Moreover, Mr. Salous is engaged in the Financial Stability Group planning.
